Who is Recruit?
Recruit is the national information clearinghouse for high school athletes and college coaches. Recruit links qualified high school athletes and
college coaches who are looking for talented prospects. Our job is to make sure the right college coaches see each student-athlete we work with.
College coaches work with the staff at Recruit, letting us know what they are looking for and the types of scholarships that they are offering. We can
then match up an athlete with a college coach, giving the coach the athlete they want and rewarding the athlete with a college sports career and a scholarship.
Our nationwide network of regional scouting directors work with qualified high school athletes at the local level, giving athletes personalized, ongoing consultations throughout their high school career. Our trained staff makes sure that each athlete is given the latest recruiting information, and helps student-athletes avoid many of the potential mistakes that can harm an athlete’s chances of playing college sports.
Think of us as your personal recruiting advisor. We give our high school athletes the recruiting edge they need in the competitive world of college sports scholarships.
How Do College Coaches Use Recruit’s Information?
College coaches receive a variety of information from Recruit on each of the student-athletes who we accept into our program. Because Recruit is a trusted information source for colleges throughout the country, a coach can begin scouting an athlete through our reports without having to fly across the country to see the athlete. That saves the college coach valuable time and money, and allows them to see athletes they would have never known about before.
What Does Recruit Do For Student-Athletes?
Recruit develops and distributes detailed scouting reports and videos on each athlete, giving a college coach information on the athlete’s academic progress,
athletic achievements and more. The Recruit staff also makes daily telephone, fax and e-mail contact with coaches, finding out what their needs are and filling those needs with our database of athletes. College coaches also contact Recruit directly to announce roster openings and scholarship needs, making it easy for our staff to research our database of athletes and get a coach several qualified prospects to choose from. It’s this detailed personal communication with college coaches all over the country that give Recruit athletes the edge when it comes to getting noticed for sports scholarships. Each athlete we work with is unique, and our programs are custom designed to meet the individual needs of our athletes and their family.
Recruit student-athletes are also placed on our exclusive “coaches only” Internet site at www.recruitathletes.com. Each coach has been assigned a password to enter this secure site, ensuring that our athletes and their families have the highest level of privacy and security with their personal and academic information. With a click of their mouse, a college coach can access our entire athlete database, scout players, print scouting reports, contact athletes and
make offers. Our resources give college coaches unparalleled access to athletic talent across the nation. We receive over 10,000 college coach visits per month, so we know they like it!
Do you think being seen by thousands of college coaches would improve your chances of playing college sports? We do.
Why Does A Student-Athlete Need Recruit?
There are several reasons why a good high school athlete needs Recruit, the most important reason being increased exposure to college coaches. There is no other way you can get your talents and abilities in front of this many coaches than by going through the Recruit program. Contrary to popular opinion, most college coaches can’t travel all over the country scouting individual athletes. They just don’t have the budget for it. Recruit can give an athlete access to those coaches who now rely on us to do the scouting for them.
Recruit also gives athletes guidance through the recruiting process. Most athletes and their parents have never been through the recruiting process before, and have no idea how to make getting recruited financially beneficial for their son or daughter. We guide each family through the entire process, from which tests to take and when to take them, to what questions to ask a coach during a recruiting visit. With Recruit, you have a team of recruiting experts in your corner.
We give our athletes a huge edge in the competitive world of athletic scholarships. We make sure our athletes are exposed to every possible scholarship opportunity in the sport of their choice every day. We give our athletes a huge advantage over their competition, and we’re proud of it! No other national organization does more to assist high school athletes than Recruit.
